Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton -- our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools -- in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
The Spanish Ministry at Holy Name of Mary hosts their annual Serenata to Our Lady of Guadalupe on Thursday, Dec. 12th. For those who don't know, The Serenata is a special celebration honoring the Virgin Mary on the eve of the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. It's held in the middle of the night and is marked by prayer, traditional music and COLOR--click on the photo. Here's the schedule:
3:30 AM Rosary...4 AM to 5 AM Mariachi Band performance...5 AM Mass in Spanish - Followed by light refreshments.
It's been a privilege to photograph this annual event and you are encouraged to see it at least once in your life. Photos of this year's Serenata will be posted here before Christmas.
