Regarding the village elections: as a result of the elections having been moved from March to November, much local control has been lost. Here is what has been learned from the county, now in charge:
-We do not know the total number of people who voted at the present time.
-We do not know the total number of people who voted at the present time.
-The write-in votes will be counted on 11/18 and 11/19 in Ardsley.
-The figures for Wiegman, Rascob and Levitt were "phoned in" by the inspectors. These too will have to be "re-canvassed" for the final numbers.
-We do not know at the present time, the number of absentee ballots that were cast; these will need to be opened and counted. As more is learned, it will be posted. This is more or less a repeat of last year, when we had to wait 3-4 weeks for official results.
Both voting machines broke yesterday; residents had to put in paper ballots--which went into "red bags".
11/29/13 UPDATED: CALCUTTI 591 VOTES
