For those who want to keep up with Two Row events:
Greetings from the Two Row Wampum Renewal Campaign! Thanks so much for signing the Two Row Wampum Declaration of Intent during our amazing trek down the Hudson River this summer. We greatly appreciate your expression of solidarity! The Two Row Wampum Renewal Campaign's Declaration of Intent summarizes the campaign's goals and illustrates what it means to be an ally to indigenous peoples. It is a powerful educational and advocacy tool, and we invite you to share its message with your communities! This is one great way to help grow the movement--see below for more! Now that the U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear the Onondaga Nation's appeal of their Land Rights Action, it is more important than ever to maintain the grassroots pressure for justice and environmental protection! http://honorthetworow.org/u-s-supreme-court-says-no-to-onondaga-land-rights/Learn more.
Keep up with Two Row happenings and stay involved
Far from an ending, our epic journey this summer was the beginning of a long trek towards justice and environmental sustainability. Here are ways to stay updated and involved...
- Sign up for our low-volume email list to receive email updates about the campaign.
- Write a letter to the editor of your local newspapers about your experience and the relevance of the Two Row Wampum to your life (letters are usually 250 words or less. Here's a link for some tips).
- Organize a presentation in your area: invite a speaker, show slide shows, videos, give out literature, and share your experience with your communities.
Share the Declaration of Intent with your community
This summer we carried the Two Row and its message from the heart of Haudenosaunee ancestral territory to the international platform of the United Nations in New York City. Help us continue to share this message with communities across New York State and beyond...
- Share via email, facebook, twitter and other social media! Invite your friends to sign online: http://honorthetworow.org/declaration/
